Brooks left Thursday afternoon for the annual CPC youth ski trip. He surprised me by taking the entire day off so he could spend the morning with E and I before leaving for the trip. When he told me Wednesday night my heart skipped a beat and my toes curled. What a sweet surprise!
We shared breakfast with him at Dunkin Donuts. Afterward, he joined us at storytime at the library. I wish I had taken pictures of Elijah sitting in his lap enjoying the songs and stories. It was a delight sharing this part of our week with him.
Later, we had to help him gather his things and to say goodbye for the weekend.
