Little Big One you began a new adventure this week. With much enthusiasm you walked with your parents into school for the first time. The day before, when we were on our way to Meet the Teacher, you told me that you didn't need mom and dad to stay with you. You could do it all by yourself. On the first school day morning, we didn't move fast enough and you took us by the hand to hurry us to the door.
We think you are an extrovert, Elijah. You are most happy when with friends and delight in getting to know others. Everyone is a potential friend. We hope your new environment will allow you to grow in many ways that we can not necessarily provide at home. You will be stretched and challenged and this is good. We will too. God uses the uncomfortable to make us rest and grow in Him. You don't walk through the door to your classroom alone, Son. Mom and Dad are praying for you and Jesus loves you. For now, your mama is delighting in your happy smile as you talk about your day!
