Soccer season, although at the beginning a challenge, ended with more smiles than tears. Eventually, he "got it" and tried getting the ball in the goal. He made friends on the team and enjoyed playing with the other kids. Brooks and I learned a lot during the two months he played about our parenting and our son. God is faithful to use those difficult things to grow us. At the end of the season Elijah declared he loved soccer and asked to play next year. We will see...

All the kids got medals at the end of the season from their coaches. Although I am not a big fan of everyone getting a trophy, E sure loved that medal. It may have been the highlight of the whole season for him.
