Playing pirates is one of E's favorite games turning straws, rulers, and sticks into swords or "pirate sticks". Brooks suggested we make him a cardboard pirate ship out of boxes. While redoing our bathroom, our builder saved the boxes from the new toilet and shower doors and we stashed them in the garage until there was time to build the ship. A rainy afternoon and naptime supplied the time and I tackled the project with a roll of duct tape and a box cutter. Thirty minutes later the pirate ship was completed and ready to surprise two little boys.
We played, and played, and played!
They played in the ship for about a week before losing interest. Our ship has now set sail for the recycle bin but we will have the memories for a long time.
Our ship was named The Poop Deck so you can guess how our potty training is going at the moment.
